The National Higher Education Benchmarking Institute was established in 2004 and is the first and largest provider of community college benchmarking and peer comparison services in the nation. Over 300 two-year institutions participate annually in the data-collection and reporting process of these Benchmarking Institute projects:

The Benchmarking Institute hosts an annual conference devoted to benchmarking and best practices in Overland Park, Kansas. The conference offers great networking opportunities, four excellent keynote speakers, a variety of useful workshops, and break-out sessions all centered around three tracks:

  • Student success and outcomes
  • Benchmarking community college costs
